Msgr. José Tolentino Mendonça will be the main preacher at the International Gathering which takes place from the 16th to the 21st of July.
Every morning (after the morning prayer which will be led each day by a different couple from one of the various Super Regions), Msgr. José Tolentino will present a meditation based on a verse taken from the Gospel parable of the “Prodigal Son”. These passages taken from Holy Scripture will cover five themes, one for each day: Freedom, Dissipation, Regret, Mercy and Celebration.
Msgr. Tolentino, a poet and theologian, has without doubt been one of the most mediatic priests over the last months after having been chosen to preach Pope Francis’ Lenten Retreat.
